Mechanical Engineering Manager - Advanced fuel and oil pumping systems for aerospace propulsion applications. This will include positive displacement (piston, gear and vane type), radial flow, axial flow and variable displacement technology. Power transmission systems including aircraft mounted and propulsion system mounted designs. Fuel control systems and system components. Actuation systems and system components. Structures discipline expertise including static load analyses, dynamic load analyses and system level random vibrations. System level understanding will include structural interaction between component elements. Computational fluid mechanics/dynamics simulations and methodologies as applied to aerospace propulsion systems. An understanding at the system level of interactions between components is essential.
Provide timely and effective communications to senior management, staff and customers with travel time identified at 30%. Assist the Production Organization and GM/Program Office to meet development, Production and Producibility milestones for their projects. Help provide strategic leadership, focusing on product cost reduction and market strategy to assist new business managers You will have a budget that includes capital, indirect, travel, computer expenses, and all other pertinent expenses. Develop strategic plans for the mechanical based products of APECS. Focus on engineering excellence and competitiveness.
Develop product line and technology strategic vision and execution.
