Delta Community Supports, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that provides support services to people with developmental disabilities.  We support our consumers through 3 programs; Residential Group Homes, Supported Living, and Family Support.  Our associate positions revolve around providing assistance with daily living activities to our consumers.  We are currently seeking individuals who would like to fill various full and part-time Direct Support Professional positions in Atlantic, Burlington, Cumberland, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, and Somerset Counties.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Company Overview:
Delta Community Supports, Inc. is a private, non-profit social services agency that provides support services to adults and children that have developmental disabilities in both the home and the community.
 
Qualifications:
-    Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
-    Must have a valid driver’s license for 3 years in the state of residence
-    Must be able to complete a Physical Exam, Drug Screen, and Mantoux (TB) Test
-    Must be able to pass a criminal background check and satisfactory reference check
 
Job Responsibilities:
The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for:
1) Support individuals as needed in daily living activities such as personal and health management, communication, self-advocacy, realizing personal and educational goals, meal planning and preparation, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, basic home maintenance and safety, recreation, home management, financial management and decision making. 
2) Promote inclusion for individuals through typical community activities.
3) Support individuals as needed in developing friendships and establishing desired relationships with peers.
4) Participate in the development of Individual Habilitation Plans and in support circle meetings as needed.
5) Complete household chores to the extent necessary to maintain reasonable standards of health, sanitation, safety and building maintenance at all times.
6) Assist individuals in receiving needed medical, dental and counseling services.
7) Communicate with individuals' families and day and employment program personnel as assigned by supervisor.
 
Salary & Benefits:
Starting salary varies between $9.91-$11.27 per hour. Other benefits include: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance, Mileage Reimbursement ($0.42 per mile), paid time off, a 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, casual dress, and paid training.
