Our client is dedicated to providing front line IT services to small and medium sized businesses. They are partners with their clients in helping them navigate their way through the technology maze.
 
Our client is looking for a dynamic Technical Team Lead to join their team. This position is responsible for the installation, layout and maintenance of all network components and will plan, design and provide technical support for a data communications network or group of networks. As well, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and evaluating network technology and recommending purchases of network equipment to customers.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
·          Consult with users to evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analysis, plan projects and coordinate tasks for installation of short-, medium-, and long-range network projects
·          Analyze and resolve technical problems for established networks
·          Provide network documentation, training and guidance to computing system clients and programmers
·          Troubleshoot and resolve network production problems and serve as a technical specialist in network problems and emergencies
·          Conduct technical research on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current system
·          Determine plan layout for new hardware or modification to existing layout
·          Oversee the installation of hardware and software
·          Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as systems, to ensure connectivity and compatibility
 
Qualifications:
 
·          Must be able to pass a criminal record check
·          Must have own transportation to travel to client sites
·          Five to ten years of Windows 2003/2008/XP/Vista, five years of Exchange 2003/2007 and SBS Server and Backup Exec as well as 2 years of ESX Server experience required
·          A working knowledge of network platforms such as Novell and Windows operating environments
·          Must have the ability to design and coordinate the installation of data networks as well as maintain and troubleshoot computer network hardware, software and peripherals
·          Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and guides for users
·          Strong verbal and interpersonal communications skills
·          Bachelors Degree in a related field along with three to five years of network experience
